Treat Mild Acne and Pimples with Home Remedies
Almost everyone in the world has had to deal with acne problems at some point or another. As a consequence, there is a large market for the treatment of acne problems. Most of them are over-the-counter drugs, but there are other alternatives.
Home remedies for acne are almost as numerous as OTC drugs. As with any treatment, some home remedies are just myths but some are very effective. In this article, however, we will first focus on the primary causes of acne and then on the more effective natural treatments for acne.
What produces acne?
Basically, acne is a skin condition where the pores of the skin become clogged. When the pores clog, they produce inflamed and non-inflamed lesions. What leads to the clogging of the skin pores?
The primary answer is genetics. If both parents have acne, there is a 75% chance of their children having it. Other factors such as stress, sun exposure, seasonal changes and climate can worsen an already existing acne problem. It seems that working women seem to have a higher chance of acne breakouts due to higher stress level and pore-clogging makeup.
There is a wide variety of over-the-counter drugs available for acne problems. However, we should not overlook natural acne skin care. Here are a few alternatives.
Grated Cucumber: Remedy 1
Cucumber is one of the most valuable home remedies for acne treatment. Just grate a cucumber and apply the paste over your face, eyes and neck for about twenty minutes. The cucumber paste will soothe your skin and, if used regularly, it will eliminate blackheads and clogged pores.
Aspirin Paste: Remedy 2
Aspirin is a useful and inexpensive pimple treatment. Place one or two drops of water on an aspirin tablet, form a paste and apply it directly to the blemish. Within a few hours, the pimple will dry out.
Orange Peels: Remedy 3
Another inexpensive treatment can be found in orange peels. Use a mortar and pestle to pound the orange peel. Leave the pounded peels on the affected areas for about twenty minutes.
These remedies are most effective for mild acne and occasional pimples. More severe forms of acne require professional treatment. Chronic acne, however, is a serious condition and should be taken seriously.
Home remedies can be an effective acne treatment method for occasional outbreaks and, consequently, for avoiding acne scars. They can help with mild acne and pimples while keeping your skin healthy. Take a chance and try out a natural acne treatment method.
